need help phone still locked 2G
|
I used WinPwn 2.5 to setup the phone. The program reports a successful Pwn & I installed the custome file. But once I turn it on Itunes recognizes and askes me to Activate. Does WinPwn also activate or do I need another program?

While going through the steps of Winpwn, it should ask you "If you want it to activate the phone" or something of that nature. You should have checked that.
If your unlocking winpwn HAS to activate the phone, NOT Itunes.
Which is opposite if your on AT&T, then let Itunes activate.

I checked the box for WinPwn to activate, I have ATT but do not have the Iphone plan. The phone comes on but is in a locked state. Should I use a different version other than 2.02CXX??

I am having issues myself.
I did winpwn after installing the correct hlsw (hash file, sorry if I am saying this wrong)
Everytime it reboots I run winpwn and the program then exits... I then have to do what? Everytime I insert the T-mobile sim card, it shows to connect to iTunes. If I remove the t-mobile sim or insert any AT&T (working or not), it gives me the home screen and the connect to iTunes screen goes away. Please help!

tonerboy - let Itunes activate the phone.
You wont be asked for any info, it will just activate. As long as you have an AT&T sim installed.

itunes recognizes my number on the sim, and then asks me to enter zip code for billing then the last four digits of my soc. and lastly it states that Wireless service is not eligilble for any discounts and asks me to contiue or cancel? I am curious if I continue will I now be billed for the Iphone minimum plan?
