1st Gen 2.0 Sluggish / slow response to typing
I upgraded to 2.0 and now I'm getting a sluggish response when I type in SMS or any other app. I tend to type fast and the clicks help me make sure I am actually hitting a key. In 2.0, if I type to fast it still takes the character, but skips a click sound making me think I missed the character. I stop typing and look to see where I made a mistake, but it was just slow catching up. This is very frustrating.
Anyone else having this issue? Also the smoothness of the animation when the keyboard comes up is choppy along with some other animation as well.

The memory is being hogged by a program that is using too much resources. it is usually a memory leak that does this.

May be a memory leak, but its just the bare minimum right after the update. No new programs installed... ?? Guess it could be an original program.
I seems to get slower and slower.
In the phone app, I can press contacts and I have to wait a second or so before it responds.

I'm having the same problem on my 3g iPhone. When typing an SMS it's really slow and seems to take an age to catch up. However, after a few replies it seems to eventually return to normal.
It must be a bug that will no doubt be fixed. Just hope it's sooner rather than later tho coz it's frustrating!

I got the same problem, went from ilibertied 1.1.4 -> 2.0 custom firmware, now sometimes, and only sometimes, I go into SMS and I type a few letters and they take about 1-2 seconds each to pop up and register... annoying!
I do have some app store apps on there, but no "unofficial" apps, except Cydia ofc

Its a known issue on 2.0 reported on a number of forums, affecting new, upgraded and pwned phones alike. We will just have to wait for 2.01 the bug fix............

my phone dies the same thing. I'm on a custom firmware 2.0 and typing takes forever. I'm doing power cycles to minimize the lagg. Any idea when the update? Or if I'm going to have to update with another custom firmware?

Yes I think we all have issues with slow Contacts etc. Restarting the phone seems to fix it for a while.... So that would point to a memory leak?
