Trying to develop, very new, need some pointers please!

i don't mind reading up and spending time on this, but i dont want to waste to much time reading info. i dont need.

my basic idea is a fitness app where you can log your workout day, exercise and against each exercise the number of sets + reps/weight per set.

very simple, nothing flash, just text input and save it.

i am currently downloading the free sdk, is this all i need to develop this app for myself and/or maybe cydia if anyone else finds it useful?? and ive read about xcode, obj-c etc. what do i need to be researching into mainly for this?

any links to helpful sdk tutorial sites would be nice aswell

thanks

Yep read up on Objective-C but if you have no programming experience you might want to start with something a little more simple and oh yeah prepare to in response to your "but i dont want to waste to much time reading info. i dont need." statement prepare for a whole lot of that

On a related note something else I think would be cool is a CrossFit app that interfaces to logsitall.com
